The ACEA Ambiente s.r.l. plant is located in Monterotondo Marittimo, in the Province of Grosseto. It was built in about two years and is intented for the treatment of 70 thousand tons of waste per year. The plant annualy produces 224 GWh of electrical power. The area of intervention covers approximately 50,000 m² of which approximately 10.000 m² built up with prefabricated buildings in reinforced concrete and approximately 7,000 m² with building in metal carpentry.

The work supervision team dealt with both the civil and plant engineering works for the entire duration of the site. The assignment was also extended in order to assist in the functional technical tests of the electromechanical devices and for the assessments relating to the incoming and outgoing waste cycle, including tests on operating machinery and product analysis.
