STORAGE AND TREATMENT PLANTS OF WASTE FROM STREET SWEEPING AND GULLY WASTE

The project by Cidiu spa, funded by the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) funds, envisions the construction of a facility aimed at recovering aggregates from road sweeping waste and sewer cleaning. The plant:

• will optimize the recovery of the material with minimal disposal,
• will reduce environmental impacts resulted by waste management,
• enhancing waste economic value by recycling and using recycled aggregates in place of natural ones.

The facility is located in Druento, within the premises of the Punto Ambiente facility.

2Zero Projects has been responsible for the final and executive design of the washing plant within the expanding area of the existing facility managed by CIDIU.

The project area covers approximately 2,000 m2, with about 1,620 m2 allocated to the processing building, while the remaining areas are designated for access roads to the facility.

The project involves the redevelopment of the area through the following interventions:

• Construction of courtyards associated with the new warehouse, along with relevant signage, to ensure the accessibility of vehicles for waste disposal, vehicles for the collection of hazardous waste, and recovered products, as well as service vehicles.
• Establishment of a rainwater collection system for the courtyards.
